Everyday Agents is developing an AI-powered Travel Concierge (currently in private beta), streamlining the discovery, planning, and booking of trips within a single app. It knows your preferences, helps you find suitable accommodations, activities, and dining spots, and guides travelers throughout their journey, covering potential sightseeing places to last-minute changes during the trip. It's like having a personal travel agent, but even better; affordable, round-the-clock support, quick response time, and equipped with local insights, appealing pictures, maps, itineraries, prices, and availability. The Role - Founding Backend SW Engineer - Agents/LLMs

As our Founding Backend SW engineer, you will spearhead the development of our AI Agents and LLMs within our consumer applications. Your role will be crucial in molding the architecture and functional excellence of our systems that cater to AI agents, LLMs, and personalized consumer recommendations. Acting independently within a team setting, you will balance technical expertise with strategic perspective, ensuring our infrastructure constantly stays at the industry forefront.

You'll be reporting directly to our Co-founder and VP of Data, Cian Menzel-Jones. In this capacity you will:

• Facilitate the rapid development and iterations of AI Agent architectures and LLMs by our machine learning team

• Utilize cloud computing platforms (GCP or AWS) and 3rd party solutions where essential to enable fast-paced product development and implementation at scale

• Offer strategic guidance on infrastructure improvements, optimizing scalability and performance

• Establish strong relationships with our machine learning and engineering teams, promoting a collaborative environment and technical excellence

• Continually monitor and adapt to emerging technologies, ensuring our systems remain innovative

The Team

We are an experienced team, each bringing about a decade of knowledge across key domains like executive leadership, product strategy, AI and machine learning, engineering, and design, a gratifying combination required for our success.

Our team is composed of:

• A successful entrepreneur and founder with a history of rising over $100M in funding

• An active engineering leader, and former CTO, with expertise in full stack development, who has assembled proficient teams over 15 years, and worked in startups to Fortune 500 corporations

• A data science leader with 15 years of experience, who has scaled several data teams and built multiple machine learning products from scratch across various problem domains

• A machine learning expert with 12 years of experience working across finance, ad tech, search domains, with research driving over 500 academic citations

• A dedicated software engineer with ten years of experience in blending art, design, and software in consumer applications at both early and late-stage companies

We have diverse backgrounds and interests, spanning computing, theatre, skiing, physics, gardening, chess, mathematics, kiteboarding, and travel!

And yes, we all love travel. We've felt the struggles with the current discovery and trip experiences, and we embarked on this start-up journey to find better solutions together!

Total Compensation & Pay Transparency

This role offers a compensation package in line with top Series-A companies, which includes:

• Cash Compensation: The expected cash compensation for US employees in this position ranges between $180K - $240K.

• Equity: As a founding engineer on the team, you will be granted substantial ownership in the company
