Introducing Everyday Agents, a stealth startup supported by four top venture funds that is redefining the way we travel. Everyday Agents is constructing an AI-powered Travel Concierge (currently in private beta) that simplifies the process of discovering, planning, and booking trips, all within one app. It intuitively understands your preferences, assists in uncovering stays, activities, and dining options, and aids travellers throughout their journey, from exploring potential destinations to accommodating last-minute changes during the trip. It's like having a personal travel agent, only better, as it's affordable, available 24/7, responds instantaneously, and is equipped with local insights, captivating photos, maps, itineraries, pricing, and availability. Through leveraging the latest advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and breaking new ground in Agent Architectures, Everyday Agents is poised to revolutionise the travel industry.

The Role: Founding Data Platform Engineer

As our Founding Data Platform Engineer, you will construct the foundations that support the delivery of AI and ML solutions to our consumer application. You will be responsible for shaping our infrastructure which will power our conversational AI agents, large language models, recommender systems, and ML algorithms.

Your ability to work independently as part of a team will be essential: we'll rely on you to guide decisions, identify opportunities, and ultimately establish the appropriate abstractions and frameworks to facilitate the scaling of our technical teams and platform. You'll be deeply involved in our operations, ensuring the reliability of our infrastructure and developing any required in-house computing solutions.

You will oversee all aspects of our Data Platform and will report to our co-founder and VP of Data, Cian Menzel-Jones. In this role you will:

• Enable the rapid development and iteration of AI Agent architectures and LLMs by our machine learning team
• Design, build, and manage platforms and processes which enable a high speed of ML product development, productionalisation, and data-driven decisions on a large scale
• Utilise cloud computing platforms (GCP or AWS) and 3rd party solutions where appropriate to establish and manage our data warehouse, orchestrations and workflows
• Build robust relationships with our machine learning and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence
• Keep our solutions ahead of the curve by remaining current with the latest technologies

We are a team of experienced professionals, each having almost a decade of experience in key areas like executive leadership, product strategy, AI and machine learning, engineering, and design, which are crucial for our success.

• 3-time entrepreneur and founder with a history of raising over $100M in funding
• Hands-on engineering leader and former CTO with expertise in full stack development who has cultivated high-performing teams for over 15 years and has experience working for both startups and Fortune 500 companies
• Data science leader with 15 years of experience who has scaled several data teams and built dozens of machine learning products from nothing across multiple problems domains
• Machine learning expert with 12 years of experience working across different sectors from finance, ad tech and search, with research that has garnered over 500 academic citations
• Passionate software engineer with a decade of experience in merging art, design, and software in consumer applications at both early and late-stage companies

Total Compensation & Pay Transparency

The compensation package for this role is designed to align with top series-A companies and includes:

• Cash Compensation: The expected total cash compensation for US employees in this position ranges from $180K to $240K.

• Equity: As a founding engineer on the team, you will be granted a significant ownership share in the company.
