About Order Management Solutions

Order Management Solutions is responsible for creating, delivering, and running digital applications for managing sales & distribution activities. By working agilely, we enable core systems & processes and innovate solutions proactively across multiple technology platforms.

Senior DevOps Engineer Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a crucial part in our team, which is end-to-end accountable for intercompany and cross-company processes. This role involves providing integrated supply chain solutions that connect intercompany business globally, ensuring customer requirements are understood, analyzed, and translated into IT products using an agile framework. The team is responsible for the development and operations of the respective SAP applications.

Main Tasks

• Designing application enhancements and new applications for BASF's Order to Cash processes.
• Developing applications using state-of-the-art programming methods while ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF development guidelines.
• Managing complex development environments using both internal and external resources.
• Ensuring runnable, supportable, and stable solutions from a technical viewpoint alongside operations.
• Contributing to project planning and providing cost estimations for complex projects.
• Supporting the creation of (functional) Solution Design Documents.
• Assisting in testing and error correction activities.

Requirements

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.

Working Experience

Minimum of 4 years of related working experience with complex SAP applications.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Excellent skills in ABAP / ABAP OO and ABAP for Cloud Development.
• Functional knowledge of processes in SAP SD / Order-To-Cash.
• Expertise in API development and management.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including website/server interactions with OData and SOAP endpoints.
• Agile mindset and self-organized working style.
• Fluency in English and experience working in an international environment.

Desired Skills / Experience

• Experience with SAP Fiori App development.
• Experience with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
• Functional knowledge of processes in SAP MM.
