Role Overview

The Developer Experience Platform team is seeking an extraordinary Software Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing various front-end tools to develop our next-generation developer experience platform, accelerating app development within Apple.

Key Qualifications

• Experience in building pixel-perfect, robust, and accessible user interfaces and applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript ES6/TypeScript.
• Experience with advanced JavaScript UI frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS, VueJS, or similar.
• Knowledge of the broader web development ecosystem, including tools like Webpack, Babel, Mocha/Jest, Cypress.io/WebDriver.io, WebGL, GraphQL, WebRTC, ESLint, etc.
• Experience in integrating cutting-edge Generative AI technologies into user interfaces.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Datastores, Large Language Models (LLMs), and frameworks like LangChain or Llama-index.
• Additional programming language expertise such as Java, Node.js, Python is a bonus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with project stakeholders.

Job Description

The Developer Experience Platform team provides frameworks, services, and tools to internal engineering teams at Apple, accelerating their Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). We are developing a Generative AI-based developer experience platform to assist our app development team. You will collaborate with Machine Learning engineers, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver an end-to-end AI-enabled solution for this platform.

This role is hands-on, involving the development and support of new and existing features. You will partner with cross-functional teams to effectively manage the complex interdependencies inherent in application development.

Successful candidates will have strong technical skills, a passion for creating intuitive user experiences, and a keen eye for detail that will surprise and delight our customers.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides opportunities to progress as you grow within the role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
