About the Role

We are remote-first and determined to recruit the best talent globally. As a Generative AI Data Engineer, you will ensure the availability and quality of data for problem-solving using Generative AI. You will maintain high-quality datasets and scalable data processing systems, driving continuous improvements.

Experience Level

7-10 years of data engineering experience.

Reporting

You will report to the Data Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement processes for data integration, acquisition, cleansing, harmonization, and transformation, ensuring high-quality datasets for vector stores/embeddings.
• Maintain scalable data processing pipelines and incorporate technological advancements in Generative AI.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, researchers, and business stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• Over 7 years of data engineering experience, including 6 months with Generative AI technologies such as vector databases.
• Hands-on experience with text processing tools (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Word2vec, PyTorch) and data engineering tools (e.g., Hadoop, Airflow, Pandas).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proficiency in software development with a major programming language (e.g., Python) and familiarity with machine learning and Generative AI models.
• In-depth understanding of large language models like GPT and Llama.
• Experience with information retrieval tools (e.g., Chroma DB, Pinecone, Vector, Elasticsearch, or other vector stores).
• Good knowledge of re-usable frameworks and tools in the field of Generative AI (both commercial and open-source).
