Digitalization technologies and Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sphere uncover vast opportunities to enhance and advance patient care, lower costs, and elevate global health. Several medical fields are already reaping the benefits of this new trend, but others, like hematology, infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, among others, lag slightly behind. SpotLab is striving to bridge this gap.

We function as a multidisciplinary ensemble with gender parity, where engineers, medical doctors, clinical researchers, business managers, etc., with diverse professional backgrounds, complement each other.
Coordinate ongoing projects focused on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) / infectious diseases and AI.
Establish collaborations and co-design initiatives with research centers, hospitals, and pharmaceutical firms.
Compose scientific protocols, research papers, and concept notes.
Implement and evaluate Spotlab's technology in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Probe clinical problem areas, test solutions, and develop new services to harness the power of AI.
Represent Spotlab at conferences, technical workshops, and other public events;
Revolutionize user experiences concerning SpotLab's products and services
Work closely with experts from various company areas, identifying improvements and unveiling new opportunities
Translate all the creative and unconventional ideas into actionable and tangible plans, with distinct activities, deliverables, and tasks comprehensively documented for the development team.
Global health researchers, medical doctors, epidemiologists, biologists, biotechnologists, pharmacists, or any other qualification in life sciences and engineering... A PhD is a bonus. However, titles do not sway us; if you believe you are the perfect fit, please continue applying!
Prior experience in the field of global health or infectious diseases.
Experience working in the field in LMICs.
Skills in building relationships and negotiation
Experience in writing scientific articles.
Enthusiasm for innovation and instigating change in the healthcare sector
Knowledge and/or interest in digital technologies and AI.
Expertise in product development/management is an advantage
Inherent curiosity, consistently seeking new ideas and ways to enhance processes, products, and services
Familiarity with a variety of innovative tools and methods (e.g., design thinking, rapid prototyping, and agile delivery) is beneficial
Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Capability to make firm decisions and establish objectives for the team
An imaginative spirit and compassionate heart, with a urge to make a positive change in the world
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal (Spanish and English)
Ability to work within a small, multidisciplinary team and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Ability to handle uncertainty, autonomous enough to explore new paths and courage to chart unfamiliar territory.
Eagerness to experiment with new ideas, sharing perspectives with colleagues
Willingness to take risks and possess tenacity.
