Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled analyst with a strong programming background and a deep interest in economics to join our Energy Research team. This group specializes in developing predictive models for energy markets covering demand, supply, and price dynamics while addressing the critical aspects of the ongoing energy transition. As alternative data becomes increasingly vital, your role will involve managing complex large datasets and refining our modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain proprietary datasets essential for our modeling efforts.
  • Develop customized statistical models to accurately forecast supply, demand, and price fluctuations in energy commodities.
  • Conduct fundamental research modeling macroeconomic and microeconomic trends and their impact on the markets.
  • Compose insightful research reports and present your findings to both internal and external stakeholders, ranging from corporate clients to investors.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Data Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or another relevant quantitative field (STEM).
  • Strong analytical skills complemented by advanced programming expertise, especially in Python, with solid experience in econometrics and data science.
  • Demonstrated prowess in original, differentiated research coupled with a robust enthusiasm for model building.
  • Deep economic understanding and a keen interest in financial markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with global stakeholders.
  • Team player with the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
