Get to know the Role: Develop and implement test strategies and test cases to validate the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data. Design, develop and implement SQL scripts to perform QA on the data marts and output results based on the data requirements and data mapping. Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing data to identify any anomalies or inconsistencies. Coordinate with data engineering, data science, business function teams and vendors to understand the data requirements, identify and troubleshoot data-related issues to complete the QA and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Track and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle using Jira and/or any defect tracking tool. Regularly provide reports on defect status, testing progress, and data quality metrics to project stakeholders. Ensure seamless integration of various data sources in the data warehouse, with data consistency and accuracy, by assessing and performing data mapping. Work with a start-up mentality, in a fast-paced, hands-on and result-orientated environment. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends and methodologies in data quality assurance, testing and defects management. The Must Haves: 3+ years of experience in data QA, including designing, planning and implementing test scenarios and QA processes. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and analysis. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools. Excellent team player, goal orientated, with good communication and negotiation skills. Strong data analysis, data verification and problem-solving abilities. Strong understanding of Data Development Life Cycle and Testing Life Cycle, Concepts and Methodologies. Keen eye for detail and the initiative to raise alarms when necessary. Strong business acumen, inherent curiosity about data, stakeholder management and project management skills for prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.
