Role Overview

As the Head of AI R&D at Tether.io, you'll drive the development and refinement of AI solutions. From creating large-scale models for advanced applications to building efficient models for edge devices like mobile phones and laptops, your leadership will push the boundaries of what AI can achieve. Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development and execution of strategies for creating multimodal AI models that set new industry benchmarks.
• Build and nurture a team of AI experts, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Spearhead collaborations with other departments to ensure effective integration of AI models into market-driven solutions.
• Represent Tether.io in the AI community through open contributions, speaking engagements, and publications.

Job Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a strong track record in AI R&D.
• Experience in building large language models (LLMs) or other large models from scratch, including writing model code, gathering training data, and optimizing training and inference.
• Proficiency in NLP, computer vision, and multimodal learning, with experience using TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and the CUDA toolkit.
• Proven leadership in managing high-performing and diverse teams, with a focus on mentorship and collaborative success.
• Advanced knowledge of distributed and high-performance computing systems.
• Excellent programming skills in Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar languages.
