Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team, driving corporate Business Intelligence, and developing and implementing a global advanced analytics strategy. You will join the Business Finance & Analytics team consisting of 18 passionate professionals with skillsets covering areas such as Commercial Planning, Strategic Finance, BI, and Data Science. You will report to the Senior Director of Business Finance & Analytics.

• Lead and mentor a team of 8 BI/data scientists and consultants in the US, Poland, and Denmark, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
• Drive corporate business intelligence by engaging with stakeholders in all Ambu affiliates. This includes servicing and prioritizing business requests, proactively driving BI solutions while standardizing existing analytics and reports.
• Drive harmonization and standardization of business data definitions to enable effective reporting and performance management across business functions and geographies.
• Co-Responsible for delivering a new data foundation and platform together with IT.
• Develop and implement a global advanced analytics strategy and roadmap, delivering proactive insights and analytics to drive business performance, ensuring a high-impact portfolio of use cases, and leveraging emerging trends and technologies in the field.
• Empower and equip the broader organization to create value with BI and advanced analytics, embrace innovation, and further cultivate a data-driven mindset across functions. This includes creating and fostering a broader BI community across Ambu by engaging with stakeholders in all Ambu affiliates.
• Ensure that the team operates within the legal and ethical frameworks of AI and data, identifying and mitigating potential risks and uncertainties associated with data privacy, security, and compliance.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or similar, as well as a proven track record of relevant professional experience within Business Intelligence and advanced analytics, including in managerial and supervisory roles within an analytics or data science team. Other success criteria include:

• Proven experience in building and managing high-performing teams with continuous guidance, direction, and mentorship.
• Capacity to develop and execute a strategic vision for the advanced analytics function, including the development and prioritization of the use case pipeline.
• Experience with the PowerBI platform and Cloud Microsoft Azure. Understanding of advanced analytics techniques and methodologies, data mining, and processing.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into valuable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Preferably, experience working with BI in a sales organization and/or Business Finance context. Knowledge of business processes, commercial excellence, performance management, and/or financial planning and analysis is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must.
