Head of Data & AI Governance - Glasgow (Remote Option Available within the UK)

Purpose of the Role:

Join The Weir Group as the Head of Data & AI Governance and lead the establishment and execution of enterprise-level Data & AI Governance processes, standards, and tools. Support data governance and management across the Weir Group. This key role also involves managing Corporate Data Risk, chairing governance forums, and leading Community of Practices. Act as the subject matter expert in developing and delivering our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) roadmap.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and operationalize enterprise Data & AI Governance.
• Manage Enterprise Data Risks on behalf of the Chief Data Officer.
• Implement and manage the roadmap for Global Data & AI Governance Policies & Standards.
• Support the delivery of the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of our world-class safety culture.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in a senior Data and AI Governance role with a proven track record in leading such programs.
• Advanced understanding of MDM and Data Quality concepts and implementation.
• Experience with leading Data Governance tools.
