The Opportunity

The Integrated Compliance (IC) Head of Data & Digitalisation role is pivotal in enhancing the maturity and efficiency of the Compliance function across business lines, countries, and on a central level at ING. We are looking for a dynamic leader who understands both the business and technical aspects of Compliance activities and systems. This role demands collaboration with diverse teams and operating models.

The ideal candidate will have a well-established network of senior stakeholders within the banking sector and a strong background in data strategy and large-scale implementation projects. This role will help OneCompliance move into its next phase of maturity, building trust for our stakeholders through transformational compliance initiatives.

The Team

As the Head of Data & Digitalisation, you will manage the rollout of compliance-related systems and steer the delivery of a complex data liberation roadmap for major regulatory programs like Elysium, FEC, ESG, etc. You will also explore AI and FinTech technologies to future-proof the Compliance function. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Integrated Compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Champion digitalisation within OneCompliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tooling implementation across countries and business lines.
• Lead a team of data, digitalisation, and compliance experts, coordinating multiple tooling rollouts and concurrent data liberation processes.
• Promote data literacy within OneCompliance, aligning stakeholders towards data-driven processes and assessments.
• Act as an ambassador for data-driven compliance risk management in collaboration with risk verticals and countries.
• Identify, document, and articulate stakeholder needs to support effective deployment.
• Coordinate a safe environment to test and validate new data and tooling initiatives, emphasizing transparency, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Drive the definition and execution of the Data & Digitalisation strategy within OneCompliance.
• Support the delivery of the OneCompliance NEXT strategy from a data and technology perspective.
• Facilitate and promote the use of data analytics in compliance risk management activities.
• Drive the acceleration of data culture across the firm, improving capabilities and control frameworks.
• Represent ING as a keynote speaker or by publishing articles in relevant external forums.
• Contribute your expertise and support to the Group IC MT on OneCompliance topics.
