Your Future Role within QRT

As the Head of Data Centre Network Engineering, the successful candidate will join QRT’s global infrastructure team. You will lead a team of network engineers responsible for all aspects of network architecture and design related to QRT's data centre estate. This infrastructure is crucial for supporting our firm's research, offering top-tier performance computing and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

• Developing and delivering the overall QRT network engineering strategy.
• Designing and implementing complex network solutions to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Managing network solutions that enable full lifecycle management (architect, design, build, operate, retire) for data centre network components.
• Utilizing a strict Infrastructure as Code (IAC) mindset to deliver complex, scale-driven software and automation network solutions.

Your Present Skillset

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• Expert knowledge in delivering complex network architectures using agile methodologies.
• Deep understanding of high-performance computing architectures at hyper-scale levels.
• The ability to build and maintain senior-level engineering relationships within the network vendor ecosystem.
• A keen awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our network infrastructure cutting-edge.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with our research and infrastructure engineering teams.
