Head of Data & Infrastructure

Ohme has been vending its chargers to consumers since 2019 and is on a rapidly ascending growth curve. We're currently operating in several countries and have collaborations with companies such as Octopus Energy, Volkswagen UK, Smart Home Charge, among other inventive brands.

We're searching for a Head of Data & Infrastructure to augment our team.

Requirements

• Prior experience managing a data engineering department in a swiftly expanding business.
• Aptitude to create and implement a strategic direction for data infrastructure and engineering.
• The ability to mentor, guide, and scale engineering teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills to oversee multiple projects, often under strict deadlines.

• Competence in the construction and optimization of data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Experience working with various database types (SQL, NoSQL, columnar databases, etc.).
• Proficient coding skills in languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Typescript, Java, Scala, among others.
• Practical experience with data tools and platforms like Spark, Kinesis, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS), particularly their data-related services.
• Data Warehousing: Familiarity with solutions like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data security protocols, best practices, and compliance regulations.
