Job Opportunity: Head of Data Services

Location: Sophia-Antipolis, along the stunning French Riviera

Join our General Marketplaces team as our new Head of Data Services. You’ll manage and expand an 80TB cloud-based data lake for Switzerland’s leading second-hand platforms - anibis.ch, tutti.ch, and Ricardo.ch. Your mission will be to dazzle our users and boost efficiency by designing and integrating data and AI services into our products and internal tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire: Guide a team of Data & ML Engineers, analysts, and scientists.
  • Design and Develop: Make key decisions on data integration and AI services for production environments.
  • Collaborate: Align with various teams on business and technical requirements to drive your projects successfully.
  • Ensure Excellence: Maintain a high-performance data foundation that scales with business needs and enhances our analytics capabilities.
  • Manage Projects: Oversee a full GCP project, including architecture, technology choices, cost monitoring, and alerting.

Qualifications

We already know you're talented, but here are some other requirements for the role:

  • Quick learner capable of connecting the dots from both business and technical perspectives
  • Extensive programming, SQL, and data modeling skills in cloud environments (GCP, BigQuery is a plus)
  • Comfortable working across different teams, multitasking, and dealing with ambiguity
  • Experienced in project management and operational work, capable of delegating and coaching
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus
