The Opportunity

As the Head of Quality Engineering at Clarifai, you will:

• Lead the quality engineering function and define our comprehensive quality strategy to ensure utmost product reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to incorporate quality processes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive the development and adoption of test automation tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
• Establish and monitor critical quality metrics to continually improve product quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role covering various technologies such as Python and JavaScript (React).
• Advanced programming and automation skills for writing and maintaining test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Expertise in testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing), including manual testing techniques.
• Ability to perform QA activities as a 'player-coach,' including analyzing bugs during tests, creating tests to identify problems, and communicating fixes.
• Advanced experience with popular automation frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.

Nice to Have

• Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning models, and data-driven systems.
• Software development expertise in Golang or other object-oriented languages.
