Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be resourceful enough to complete tasks with a small but efficient team. Your role will be crucial in streamlining and automating the software development cycle, ensuring the quick, secure, and efficient delivery of our applications.

This position involves managing cloud-based infrastructures, implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

You'll collaborate closely with development teams to foster innovation while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy required in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automating and Optimizing Processes: Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure to ensure scalable and secure environments for application deployment.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
  • Tool and Technology Evaluation: Research, recommend, and implement tools and technologies to improve the reliability and efficiency of development and deployment processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with software development and QA teams to ensure a seamless, rapid flow of changes into production. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously assess system performance, implement optimizations, and scale resources to meet demand while managing costs effectively.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Expertise: 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Automation Tools: Knowledge of automation software (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to automate deployment and monitoring processes.
  • Cloud Services Expertise: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for managing and scaling applications.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes to manage microservices efficiently.
  • Version Control Systems: Proficiency in Git to manage code changes.
  • Proactivity: Independent self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong initiative.
