Job Role: Fraud Engineer

Join us in building the next-generation financial ecosystem from scratch. As a member of Kalshi, you will work on critical platforms including core exchange, clearinghouse, API infrastructure, broker connectivity, and more. Our small yet dynamic team means your responsibilities will rapidly scale, making your contributions highly visible and impactful. With ample green field opportunities, you can significantly shape entire systems at Kalshi.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and building systems for financial fraud detection and remediation
• Collaborating with finance, security, product, compliance, and operations teams
• Staying updated on the latest fraud detection techniques and tools
• Shipping fast without compromising on quality

As Kalshi grows, your role will too. You'll be exposed to multiple facets of the business, helping define our culture and product trajectories.

Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years of experience in backend and data systems software engineering
• 2+ years of experience in payment fraud and abuse analysis
• Ability to deep dive into the codebase and provide valuable engineering suggestions
• A strong passion for learning and sharing knowledge
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly-changing environments

Bonus Points for:

• Experience in building financial systems, clearing infrastructure, or broker connectivity
• Proven track record in building large-scale systems and machine learning
• Enjoying direct interaction with customers

Salary Range: $100,000 to $200,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
