About the Work

Planning Center is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our team. The role involves developing and maintaining top-quality applications for Android devices. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in Android development with a strong grasp of Java and Kotlin, along with a proven track record of building large-scale mobile applications catering to a significant user base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance and expansion of our flagship Android products.
  • Design and implement new features, refine existing ones, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Ensure the security of customer data.
  • Translate feature ideas into technical plans and execute them with well-tested GitHub pull requests.
  • Mentor and collaborate with designers and developer teammates.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure top-notch code quality.
  • Prepare code for builds and releases on Google Play and Amazon Appstore.
  • Continuously improve our tools for automated application build and release.
  • Stay updated with the latest Android features to enhance our apps.
  • Investigate and fix bugs reported by the support team using Firebase Crashlytics and Android Studio.
  • Participate in book and code clubs to foster continuous learning and growth.
  • Work closely with a collaborative development team to deliver outstanding products.
