About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at Vidyard, you'll report to the Chief Accounting Officer and take charge of managing all technical accounting activities while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role demands a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. You'll provide guidance on complex accounting issues, implement new accounting standards, and ensure our financial practices adhere to statutory requirements.

About the Team

Our Finance team is a group of motivated professionals dedicated to delivering timely and accurate financial reporting to business leaders, shareholders, and stakeholders. Guided by our Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer, our team ensures compliance and provides crucial financial insights to drive growth-focused decision-making.

What You’ll Work On

  • Oversee internal controls over financial reporting
  • Review and report Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Prepare and review treatment and adjustments (IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, etc.)
  • Detail review, recommendation, and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Assist with external reporting to lenders, banks, investors, etc.
  • Accurate and timely filing and reporting of all corporate taxes including income tax, S&U taxes, PST, etc.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws and recommend compliance actions
  • Oversee all external audits including year-end financial statement audits
  • Collaborate with other teams on systems, process changes, and implementations from a finance perspective
  • Treasury management including foreign exchange
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Accounting Officer

What You’ll Bring to the Role and Team

  • CPA designation in good standing
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience in the SaaS technology industry
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills with a strong business acumen
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Zuora, Avalara, G-Suite, and Carta preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
