Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced romance novel author with excellent writing and editing skills to join our growing team as a Senior Editor. Help us expand our library of curated books. We’re looking for not just an editor, but a visionary who can breathe new life into love stories. This is a full-time, fully remote position offering flexibility and creative freedom. As our Senior Editor, you’ll transform good stories into unforgettable experiences, collaborating with our dedicated team of creatives.

What Sets You Apart

• You love romance novels and read at least 4-5 a month.
• You've written or ghostwritten 3 romance novels that have been published, and you can provide links to these works.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of professional writing or editing experience.
• You have a perfect grasp of written and spoken English.
• You deeply understand what readers seek in romance stories.
• You possess the ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally as needed.
• You can be critically honest with necessary edits to improve a story.
• You have strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and choose the most compelling plots that captivate readers.
• Edit and polish stories, addressing inconsistencies in tone, pacing, and overall enhancements.
• Ensure the narrative voice and pacing of each book remains consistent and adheres to the genre or trope.
• Keep abreast of romance novel trends and incorporate them into plotlines where appropriate.
• Manage your work independently, staying on top of the books you are working on.
• Be open to working across all popular romance sub-genres and tropes.
