Your Role: Senior Software Engineer - Backend

At Givelify, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology Team. As a senior member, you will play a pivotal role in creating and optimizing our backend infrastructure, enabling millions of donors and partners to do more good. Key Responsibilities

• Engineer highly available and scalable real-time software systems.
• Drive the software development life cycle from requirements to deployment.
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of high-quality software products.
• Oversee the quality of user experience through backend systems.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Collaborate in an agile cross-functional environment with tech, design, product, support, marketing teams.
• Work closely with our front-end team to fine-tune our REST APIs.
• Implement machine learning and other computational algorithms in partnership with our research team.
• Ensure a scalable and secure backend infrastructure in collaboration with the DevOps team.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers.

Your Experience

• B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent STEM degree.
• Proven experience in building large-scale distributed web applications.
• Deep understanding of graph design principles and backend development.
• Expertise in database optimization for big data environments.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google App Engine.
• Strong grasp of algorithm complexity analysis.
