Your Role as a Tax Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Tax Specialist to collaborate with our legal, accounting, and finance departments. In this role, you will help design and implement tax policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will also include tax planning and reporting and reviewing corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related challenges.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop business and investment strategies for tax and VAT optimization
  • Verify the accuracy of tax-related records and documents
  • Find tax solutions to complicated international tax issues
  • Answer technical questions regarding international tax laws
  • Maintain written and oral communications between the company and advisors, local accountants, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Stay updated with changes in tax codes and accounting laws
  • Conduct research on tax compliance issues at local and international levels
  • Reconciliation of accounts and analysis at a group level
  • Participate in monthly and annual closings and audits for all entities in the group

What You Might Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proven track record as a tax specialist, tax accountant, tax analyst, or similar role (Big 4 firm experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication across the organization
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; French is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual, global organization
  • Highly detail-oriented
