Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Hydrologist, you will have the chance to contribute to groundbreaking international projects. Collaborating closely with seasoned Data Scientists and Engineers, you will be responsible for developing and implementing hydrological forecasting models into production.

Key Requirements

• Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in calibrating and optimizing physical models in hydrology or environmental simulation and prediction
• Expertise in data management, integration, and handling large datasets
• Proficiency in creating hydrological datasets using model outputs, satellites, analysis/reanalysis, and observations
• Strong skills in Python and software design/implementation
• Experience with open-source data science packages

Competencies

• Experience with Machine Learning models in hydrology, environmental simulation, or geophysical applications
• Familiarity with cloud-based computing platforms
• Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving and algorithmic thinking
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
