Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer III with expertise in Power BI development. You will demonstrate comprehensive expertise and apply it to develop, execute, and improve action plans by providing expert advice and guidance. Your role involves supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs while building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Key Responsibilities

Business Solutions: Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Identify business needs, determine and carry out necessary processes and practices, monitor progress and results, and recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

Compliance: Model compliance with company policies and procedures. Support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity in development and implementation of business plans.

Technical Expertise: Participate in analysis, design, build, test, and document complex reporting activities. Drive design, development, implementation, and follow agile development processes. Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies and leverage expertise to contribute to the tech community.

Continuous Learning: Learn new and changing technologies and adapt to ensure best software practices and standards. Participate in hiring and supporting team building efforts.

Collaboration: Work closely with Tech Leads/Architects and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) within established architectural guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science with 4+ years of experience. Strong experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications and platform development in product-based companies or R&D divisions.

Hands-on experience in Power BI for developing reports and dashboards, creating and deploying parameterized reports, and building data visualizations. Expertise in DAX expressions, gathering requirements, and translating them into solutions.

Knowledge and experience in CI/CD development environments/tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps. Proficient in RDBMS tools like SQL and DB-2 database technologies. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge in data analytics tools, database tools, and data visualization tools (for example, Excel, Tableau, Power BI). Experience in writing SQL queries and prior work experience in data analytics using visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau Prep, or Google Big Query.
