Join Leidos as an Intermediate Data Scientist in Arlington, VA

Are you passionate about machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI)? Leidos AI/ML Accelerator is looking for a skilled Data Scientist with a strong general knowledge of ML and AI to contribute to various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create AI/ML prototypes for use cases requiring entity/object identification, object association, disambiguation, anomaly detection, and state estimations.
• Develop and maintain both physical and logical data models.
• Perform extraction, transform, and load (ETL) tasks, ensuring consistency, quality, accuracy, integrity, and security of data.
• Conduct anomaly detection using various AI/ML techniques.
• Use algorithms to identify complex patterns across multiple modalities such as image, video, audio, and lidar.
• Enhance analysis tools, including automating current processes using AI/ML algorithms.
• Configure and program prototypes in Jupyter notebooks with ML solutions.
• Setup and use AWS instances for AI/ML model training and operation.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience and a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering; or a Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with a polygraph.
• Experience with Deep Learning Frameworks such as Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Mxnet, etc., and their application to real problems in the time-series domain.
• Practical experience in statistical analysis, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries like SciKit Learn, TensorFlow, and Keras.
• Expertise in software development lifecycle and producing high-quality code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data visualization and web development tools (e.g., Tableau, D3).
• Hands-on experience with prototype development.
• Experience in automating data cleansing, formatting, staging, and transformation.
• Expertise in applying data analytics.
• Understanding of intelligent systems and machine learning.
• Experience with deep learning model interpretability.
• Experience with big data platforms such as Azure, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Familiarity with text mining tools and techniques including summarization, search (e.g., ELK Stack), entity extraction, and anomaly detection.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
