Job Description for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Intern

We are on the lookout for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Intern. This internship is an invaluable opportunity to gain practical skills in cloud infrastructure management while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Help in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions using cutting-edge technologies like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Support the deployment and configuration of VMs, containers, and serverless architectures tailored to project needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable and reliable infrastructures.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency using automation tools and best practices.
• Address infrastructure issues by participating in troubleshooting and outage resolution to diminish business disruptions.
• Engage in documentation and knowledge-sharing activities to bolster cloud infrastructure management efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Current enrolment in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• A basic understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with networking, security, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Skills in scripting or programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in technology and innovation.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Prior internship or experience in cloud computing or infrastructure management is a plus.

Internship Details:

This is a hybrid position with a mandatory three days per week in-office policy. The program runs from June 4, 2024, to August 9, 2024, requiring a 40-hour weekly commitment.

Eligibility: Open to career-minded seniors, recent grads, career changers, or those reentering the workforce. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available to work full-time. Flexible schedules are available to accommodate educational or other commitments.

Compensation: $20 - $23 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This role may include eligibility for healthcare and 401(k) plans under certain conditions.
