About the Internship Opportunity

Yara Farming Solutions in Europe is seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Science Intern to join our team for a 6-month compulsory internship. This exciting role is tailored for students currently pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related fields, who are keen on fulfilling their mandatory internship requirement while actively contributing to critical projects within our organization.

Internship Responsibilities:

• Research and implement advanced machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, including one-class Support Vector Machines (SVM), Isolation Forest, and auto-encoders.
• Work collaboratively with our data science team to refine and integrate machine learning models into our proprietary anomaly detection suite.
• Analyze time-series data from mechanical production assets to spot anomalies, contributing to predictive maintenance solutions.
• Optimize machine learning models for effective real-world applications in production environments.
• Document findings and convey progress reports to the team and key stakeholders emphatically.

Candidate Profile:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s (at least 4th Semester) or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or similar disciplines.
• Experience in machine learning techniques specific to anomaly detection such as one-class SVM, Isolation Forest, and auto-encoders.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, including familiarity with frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Proficiency in managing and analyzing time-series data, coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong team collaboration skills and a knack for effectively communicating technical details to non-technical audiences.
