Join Our Team as a Data Science Intern at S&P Global Commodity Insights

About the Role:

We are excited to offer a six-month internship within our Data Science and Modelling team, which is at the forefront of creating and maintaining AI/ML solutions across diverse commodity markets. As an intern, you'll be part of a dynamic, global team spread across India, China, Mexico, and the US, equipped to enhance your domain and technical knowledge in AI.

What You Will Do

Your daily activities will involve structured data analysis, handling original and complex business problems, and contributing to data product development. By integrating data sourcing, collation, analysis, model running, and results collation, you'll have a direct impact on our projects and initiatives. This role requires a blend of independent work and collaboration, striving for high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality data analysis that aligns with project objectives.
• Engage in quality assurance of data using sophisticated internal tools and rectify any discrepancies.
• Stay updated with market, industry, and regulatory changes to adapt analysis methods and techniques.
• Support ad-hoc research activities based on the needs of the team and projects.

Who We Are Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

• Recent graduates with a B.Tech in CSE or an M.Tech in Data Science.
• Individuals with a background or interest in financial and alternative data, data engineering, machine learning, and econometrics.
• Proven skills in analyzing original data and complex problems to deliver actionable insights and solutions.
• Availability to work in a flexible 24*5 shift environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with SQL and Python is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage time effectively.
