About the Internship

We are pleased to offer a dynamic and exciting internship in software development, focusing on AI applications at BMW Group. Our team plays a pivotal role in integrating new technologies into the BMW production system as part of our sustained digitization efforts. Your work will primarily involve developing platforms to support large language models (LLMs) aimed at enhancing both direct and indirect production environments. This includes merging diverse data sources, crafting user-friendly interfaces, and setting standards for foundation model utilization.

Internship Responsibilities

• Enhance our codebase by reviewing projects, writing modular libraries, and conducting integration tests.
• Research and deploy various knowledge retrieval strategies.
• Refine and customize language models for specific applications using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Design and test innovative data preprocessing methods.
• Gather client feedback to continuously improve our solutions.
• Effectively communicate your findings and progress within our AI-centered team network.

Intern Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field with outstanding results.
• Demonstrable experience with modern software tools such as GitHub, diverse IDEs, Agile methods, and Linux.
• Proficiency in Python and a solid foundation in deep learning and natural language processing.
• Practical experience with major LLM frameworks like LangChain or Llama-Index.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent proficiency in both German and English languages.
