The Position: Internship in Bioinformatics (m/f/d)

Embed yourself in Roche's Gene Therapy Data & Analytics team located in Penzberg, a vital part of our Gene Therapy technical development function, PTCG. Our team maximizes digital system landscapes to enhance analytical capabilities and implement data science use cases throughout the gene therapy value chain. A significant focus is on using bioinformatics tools for Omics technologies (metabolomics and proteomics) to gain insights into dynamic molecular changes, thereby enhancing product understanding.

Your Department and Team

Join a dedicated team of seven data scientists, data engineers, bioinformaticians, and business translators based in Penzberg. Collaborate to shape the digital landscape and implement powerful data science solutions.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Engage in the data analysis of various Omics projects to enhance product comprehension within the rAAV value chain.
• Support the team in creating dashboards to visually track machine performance and implement performance metrics for outlier detection.

Your Profile

• Currently enrolled at university (studying bioinformatics) or in a gap year between degrees. (Check details on enrollment and gap year below)
• Highly proficient in programming with R and Python and have initial experience in software development using CI/CD and Docker.
• Familiar with basic data analysis and machine learning concepts.
• Experience in analyzing Omics data (especially proteomics and/or metabolomics) is a plus.
• Proficient in English.

Your Application

This internship is ideal for students (m/f/d) currently enrolled for the entire internship period or individuals in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's studies. You must provide documented proof of your university/college enrollment and the exact period (month/year) within a year for continuing your studies.

Start: As soon as possible or by arrangement. Ideally, for 4-6 months in Penzberg. Completely remote work is an option. This position is perfect for students seeking a full-time internship. We are excited to receive your application!
