About the Role

The Data Governance Analyst at Voya Investment Management plays a crucial role in our data and information strategy and governance. This position involves ensuring proper controls to mitigate risk, managing data life cycle, and maximizing data assets to create business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Voya's vision of managing data as a valuable asset by contributing to the Data Governance team.
  • Adhere to and assist in implementing the Investment Management Data Governance Framework.
  • Monitor, remediate, and certify Critical Data Elements, and manage data remediation efforts.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to drive alignment between business and technology.
  • Define metrics and KPIs, monitor data governance activities, and report using corporate dashboards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies that enhance data quality and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with data quality standards and business rules using Data Governance software.
  • Participate in activities to address data quality and process issues.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services with a strong understanding of IT, Operations, and Data Governance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to manage department timelines.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers and vendors.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience educating and influencing program stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Data Governance tools such as Collibra & Pandora.

Voya Financial offers fair and equitable pay, incentive opportunities, and comprehensive benefits designed to support your well-being.

  • Annual base salary range: $67,700 - $112,850 USD
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans
  • 401(k) Savings plan with generous company matching contributions
  • Voya Retirement Plan with employer-paid contributions
  • Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250/year
  • Paid time off, including 20 days PTO, nine holidays, and a flexible Diversity Celebration Day
  • Paid volunteer time: 40 hours per calendar year
