Job Summary:
SelectQuote plans to hire Information Technology interns to become part of our Program Management team for the summer of 2024. This position will present the individual the chance to be involved in different aspects of software acquisition, change management, and implementation. The Information Technology Intern will employ a statistical problem-solving approach to questions associated with SelectQuote’s Technology Vision and Strategy.
As a part of SelectQuote's IT Team, the IT Intern will get the chance to learn and use an analytical problem-solving approach to a wide range of business issues. The IT Intern will work directly with Managers and members of the IT team, as well as other stakeholders involved with technology around SelectQuote. This internship aims to prepare the intern for future work in the IT field by teaching them to utilize a range of tools and techniques to solve business problems. This is a paid internship.
Responsibilities & Rotations:
- Assess IT operations to identify transformation opportunities (gap analysis, gap elimination)
- Assist in the implementation of identified IT programs
- Help in creating documentation, training resources, and change management messaging
- Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Information Security teams to identify and address improvement areas
- Maintain project schedules and provide project feedback
- Participate in project meetings, collect meeting notes, and identify deliverables
What You Need to be Successful:
- Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university
- Degree focused in Business Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Organizational Leadership, or Computer Science
- Relevant previous internship experience or the completion of a project that demonstrates aptitude for program management or process improvement
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
