About the Role

As a Software Engineer III, you will join an agile team responsible for creating and deploying top-tier technology products. Your work will be critical in ensuring our technology solutions are secure, stable, and scalable. You will play a vital role in implementing key technology solutions across various technical domains, supporting the firm’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and troubleshoot software solutions, thinking beyond conventional approaches to solve technical problems.
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with appropriate systems.
  • Develop Automated Unit Tests using Flexible/Open Source Frameworks and a Test Driven Development approach.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met in software code development.
  • Analyze and synthesize large, diverse data sets to create visualizations and reports for continuous software improvement.
  • Identify hidden problems in data and drive improvements in coding practices and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explorations of new technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Participate in regular standups and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with applied experience in AWS Cloud, Databricks, and programming languages like Java or Python.
  • Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in AWS technologies, Terraform, and Unix.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, HDFS, HBase, and Hive.
  • Ability to resolve data processing performance issues.
  • Experience working with large data volumes and batch processing.
  • Proficiency in coding in one or more languages.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, Security, Jules, Jenkins, Git/Stash.
  • Expertise in software applications and technical processes within technical disciplines such as cloud, AI, ML, and mobile.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Experience with No-SQL databases.
  • Experience with DBT, Informatica, and AI/ML.
