We're seeking a junior data engineer & scientist captivated by the potential power of data to help HP logistics lead in the new, digital-powered, global supply chain. Responsibilities Supports Data Engineer & Data Science activities concerning logistics operations, freight costs, and sustainability (carbon footprint). Develops and maintains datasets and works to improve data quality. Mines data utilizing modern tools and programming languages. Designs and implements models to uncover trends and predictions generating business value and innovation for logistics. Converts insights into effective visualizations conveying business value and innovation potential. Presents results and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders, including senior leadership, based on analytical conclusions. Maintains competence in the data science domain by keeping abreast of technological and trend shifts. Knowledge & Skills Ability to construct and optimize data sets. Outstanding analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience in working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarization with a range of databases. Extensive experience in utilizing statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages to solve big data issues. Ability to design and create complex models to extract valuable insights, predictions, and innovation from data. Aptitude for innovatively and effectively communicating data insights through storytelling and visualization. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Applied and theoretical skills in Machine Learning. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment. Skills in effectively conveying data insights and negotiating options at senior management levels. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a global team. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, mastery of English. Education & Experience Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent. Ideal experience in a supply chain function.
