The Role: Junior Data Engineer

As a Junior Data Engineer at Indie Campers, you'll be instrumental in constructing and maintaining our systems for efficient data collection, management, and analysis. Based at our Lisbon headquarters, you'll report directly to the CTO and collaborate extensively with our Data, Engineering, Product, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Business Development teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines for data extraction, cleansing, and transformation.
• Creating effective data management solutions focused on data quality, acquisition, transformation, and migration planning.
• Enhancing data warehousing, report generation, and data modeling across Indie Campers.
• Implementing data structures to preserve and manage company knowledge.
• Optimizing and translating data science code to production environments.
• Collaborating with data scientists, business analysts, and department leaders to implement algorithms and predictive models.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Physics) or in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
• Strong programming skills and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, QuickSight, Redshift, or Power BI.
• Experience with AWS is advantageous.
• Able to prioritize business goals and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English and eligible for an IEFP Internship.
