Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

• A BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Substantial experience in analytics projects on AWS and proficiency in Python programming and software architecture.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Apache Spark and AWS-specific data processing tools such as Kinesis Firehose, Glue Jobs, and Glue Crawlers.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling in relational databases such as Postgres. Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis is advantageous.
• Experience with GitLab CICD pipelines, Docker, and Terraform is considered a plus.
• An understanding and appreciation for software engineering practices such as version control, clean code, code review, testing, and automation.
• An independent, results-driven work style, coupled with a structured and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with German language skills being a beneficial addition.

Your Tasks

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement ETL pipelines for applications in the automotive industry.
• Create and manage both batch and streaming data pipelines for an AWS Datalake.
• Review and enhance existing ETL pipelines to ensure data quality monitoring and consistency checks.
• Model business challenges within relational database frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to deliver scalable solutions tailored for our clients.
• Play a key role in enhancing current Datalake architecture and planning future data warehouse solutions in AWS.
