Role Purpose and Activities

We are seeking individuals with IT skills, specializing in banking data, capable of managing complexity with confidence and a proactive attitude. As a Data Program & Project Manager, you will support the coordination, management, and monitoring of cross-group projects involving multiple business functions throughout their lifecycle—from initiation and planning to monitoring, control, and closure. You'll be part of the Group Technology area in the Data Domain at Intesa Sanpaolo.

Main Activities Include:

• Collaborating with business units to enhance and leverage the group's informational assets.
• Managing relationships with business owners and other stakeholders within and outside the IT Directorate involved in business and project processes.
• Developing, coordinating, and managing transformative data-based project plans.
• Economic planning, budget management, including forecasting, and monitoring performance with a focus on investment optimization.
• Monitoring project progress through operational and managerial checkpoints (budgets, deadlines, milestones, deliverables, etc.).
• Proactively identifying and managing project risks and issues (impacts, mitigation actions, escalation).
• Defining data strategies and their implementation pathways.
• Supporting analysis and development teams to address potential issues or delays in deliverables.
• Coordinating and supporting external suppliers.
• Analyzing and assessing project risks to mitigate potential impacts.

Required Experience

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in IT data projects of medium to high complexity, preferably in the banking, financial, or credit sectors. Experience working on IT projects in cloud environments, especially Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, and the implementation of a PMO framework to control delivery with KPIs and dashboards is essential.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM disciplines, extensive knowledge of IT processes and software production, data transformation technologies, and tools such as IBM Datastage / IBM Cloud Pak for Data. Profound understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, development methodologies like Waterfall and Agile, and comprehensive knowledge of data quality and governance methodologies are also necessary.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with banking and financial synthesis systems or similar sectors.
