Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is looking for an Engineer Process 3 to support the Joint Force Development Research and Analysis for Joint Staff J7 (JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Identify process improvements to accelerate the research cycle and ensure the consistent use of standardized best practices.
  • Adhere to sound knowledge management methods and synchronize requirements across all projects.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics; coordinate the use of contractor facilities for events.
  • Plan and coordinate the preparation of project documentation, including engineering drawings, production specifications, and schedules.
  • Review contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of the project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes in product design to determine their effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control.
  • Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by the company and subcontractors.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards; considered an expert in the field within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 0 years experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
