Job Summary:

We are on the hunt for a Lead AI Scientist to be a foundational team member in our Engineering division. This role is crucial for leveraging advanced AI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency within our autonomous robotic fleet. You will be instrumental in developing, prototyping, and deploying AI-driven solutions at the exciting intersection of AI and robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototype and build out AI models to improve our robotic fleet's navigation and decision-making mechanisms.
  • Work on cutting-edge projects involving reinforcement learning, computer vision, and edge computing.
  • Optimize AI models for computational efficiency and deployment on varied hardware environments.
  • Collaborate across teams to bring AI innovations from concept to production level.
  • Develop tools and processes for continuous improvement and benchmarking of AI applications.

Example Projects:

  • Integrate real-time data into AI models for dynamic decision-making.
  • Employ the latest open-source tools to enhance our machine learning pipelines.
  • Devise sophisticated models and tools for sensor data interpretation and visualization.
  • Research and implement the latest CV and RL algorithms and adapt them to our needs.
  • Create and refine AI strategies for improved localization and collision avoidance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in AI/CV model development, training, and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch & deep learning frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with sensor technologies and robotic software frameworks.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, inquisitive and dynamic professional eager to contribute to a team.
  • Familiarity with simulation environments like Omniverse, OpenAI Gym, or Unity is a plus.
