Data Visualization Lead Architect
JOB PURPOSE
The team:
The newly established and multifunctional Data & Analytics team is aimed at delivering data across CHC globally. The team consists of several units - “Data Governance”, “Advanced Analytics”, “Data Modelling & Architecture”, “Program & Operations” and regional “Data & Analytics Leads”.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position reports to the Head of Data Architecture & Modeling in the CHC business unit in Sanofi. A key part of CHC transformation in the coming years, the Data Visualization Lead Architect sets the strategy and operationalization of Dashboards and Reports to provide insights & trends for the CHC business unit’s growth. This position is about presenting large volumes of information in ways that are universally understandable or easy to interpret and identify patterns, trends, and correlations. This includes charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual diagrams.
The Data Visualization Lead Architect will work closely with business partners, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver enterprise-grade, top-tier data analytics, and visualization solutions. This role will provide a solution delivery experience with an emphasis on optimizing Power BI environments for usability, performance, flexibility, testability, standardization, and automation. The Data Visualization Lead Architect will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and leadership for complex projects and issues, offering insights and recommendations on best practices, including performance improvements.
You will work with a diverse team of business analysts, data scientists, technical engineers, data architects, and project managers to deliver outcomes aligned with our business partner’s strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Visualization Lead Architect will be responsible for:
- Providing support, maintenance, and enhancements to self-service analytics platforms ensuring stability, quality, and performance. Resolving all incidents and requests for changes promptly.
- Identifying and implementing collaborative and industrialized dashboards and reports to CHC Business.
- Developing and delivering high-quality data visualization, reporting, and analytical solutions adhering to best practice, privacy, and governance principles.
- Supporting ETL, data, business intelligence, advanced analytics architectures.
- Providing data architecture support and expertise to all major enterprise projects.
- Providing full lifecycle Power BI administration including the ability to work with data owners, data architects, and report developers to support their needs.
- Developing complex analytical solutions, while maintaining the output performance.
- Leading Application Managed Services team (a factory model) to provide daily production system and user support ensuring the delivery of resolutions within Service Level Agreements.
- Leading data literacy initiative by engaging with vendors & contractors to set up training schedules, facilitating sessions, and promoting self-service analytical tools adoptions across the company.
- Performing administrative functions to ensure proper global settings configuration and provision of organizational resources in all aspects of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud Service.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Power BI Gateways, and managing access provisioning to users.
- Ensuring that data is managed in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.), and cybersecurity requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
10 years or more experience in reporting and analytics space, 5+ years’ experience in Power BI:
- Experience working in FMCG/CH
- Experience in preparing, cleansing, modeling, analyzing, and visualizing data utilizing self-service and report development software, much of which has been focused on working with cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide data management programs.
- Strong experience in administration and management of Power BI platform including the configuration of pipelines, governance policies, usage monitoring, and provisioning of licenses, capacities, and organizational resources.
- Agile ways of working and large projects phased delivery.
Data & Business Intelligence domain and software experience is a plus:
- Experience of interfacing heterogeneous systems and data sources.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake, DataBricks, Python/R.
- Working knowledge of Informatica, Layer 7 and Apigee.
- Working knowledge of procuring data from ERPs (SAP, JDE, etc.)
