Job Description The Automotive Analytics team at Epsilon works with internal and external clients and data providers, utilising advanced statistical and data management techniques to promote strategic thought and effective decision making. The Lead Business Intelligence Developer will oversee the BI design and implementation within the automotive analytics field, utilising SQL Server, Greenplum, and Oracle warehouse environment. The role primarily delivers reporting solution results via Tableau Server and internal reporting. The role includes hands-on development work (70%), coordination with and guidance of team members (10%) and requirements collection and validation (20%). Role Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design, build, testing, deployment, and support of dashboard reporting solutions - Provide BI expertise and establish development standards for the team - Deliver client and internal solutions according to industry best practices - Define scope, recommend approaches, and manage the implementation of projects in coordination with other internal analytics client teams. - QA/QC data and report output to ensure accuracy - Cooperate with leadership to develop strategic direction and produce suitable KPI’s utilising Tableau Server. - Manage Tableau server sites and user groups across several client sites - Manage Tableau server renewals and upgrades - Design, develop, and deploy actionable visualisations emphasizing automotive KPI’s. - Develop a thorough understanding of client goals and objectives - Collaborate with the team to set development standards - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of client and agency data including structure, strategy, and activation - Develop client-specific data governance and reporting governance - Exhibit excellent project management skills and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously - Use Google Analytics for digital data and metric reporting - Develop and manage SQL processes for data ingestion and reporting queries - Develop and manage BigQuery SQL processes for collecting digital data/metrics - Show resourcefulness and robust technical skills when troubleshooting; capable of creatively solving new problems - Present reports to key internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations - Mentor other BI developers Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences / Information Technology / MIS / Mathematics, or its equivalent - Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in creating dashboards/visualisations, and report design - Deep understanding of data visualisation tools and Tableau tools suite - Advanced knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server - Proficient with the creation of sites within Tableau Server - Proficient with Tableau Server installation and server upgrades/renewals - Advanced knowledge of report delivery and security within Tableau Server - Advanced understanding of database, data warehousing concepts and SQL - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent project management skills, able to balance multiple priorities - Team player with the ability to mentor junior resources - Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook - Highly motivated and collaborative - Strong technical skills - Acute attention to detail (QA/QC) - Effective organisation and time management skills - Professional judgment Desirable Qualifications: - Automotive industry marketing experience/knowledge - Proficient with the Google Analytics interface - Proficient knowledge with BigQuery to gather data across multiple Google platforms
