Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career-focused, and customer-oriented Lead CNO Data Science Software Engineer to join our diverse team in Hanover, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience with Python, Java, and/or Groovy.
• Perform data analytics on various formats like logs and images.
• Experience with relational databases tuning, optimization, and general troubleshooting in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka, including data flow customization.
• Log analysis and troubleshooting, including search, indexing, mapping, and monitoring operations.
• Understanding Elastic Stack components (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent) and Opensearch APIs.
• Experience in business analytics applications, support, and troubleshooting.
• Perform system and subsystem definition, design implementation, and integration testing.
• Research product requirements, target environment, and performance criteria.
• Design new capabilities or recommend improvements to existing functionalities.
• Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies, including Scrum, TDD, and Waterfall.
• Determine computer user needs and assess system capabilities to resolve program issues.
• Ensure software standards are met and modify existing software to correct errors.
• Conduct quality control on team products and coordinate software deployments.
• Mentor junior software developers.

Basic Qualifications

• 20 years of programming experience with a Bachelor's degree or 24 years of programming experience without a degree.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven build environments.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
• Familiarity with software version control systems.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data ingest, storage, and processing techniques.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of XML and/or JSON.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of MongoDB and Elastic.
• Proven skills in troubleshooting and maintaining complex code.
• Experience with Subversion/GIT and Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible).
• Experience using VMWare, preferably ESX.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Security Clearance Requirements

Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
