Job Description & Essential Duties

Purpose of Role: As a Lead Data Engineer, your mission will be to fortify and refine the infrastructure essential for our application performance. This includes bolstering stability, consistency, and security across all production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and manage Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to accommodate new services as dictated by project requirements.
  • Coordinate the setup of AWS services, API features, and build plans, assisting both local and offshore teams.
  • Ensure flawless end-to-end deployment processes and maintain optimal AWS resource performance, minimizing downtime caused by manual errors.
  • Enhance existing and develop new cloud environments, providing strategic implementation plans.
  • Address Production outages by engaging in decisive root cause analysis and subsequent issue resolution.
  • Support our dedicated developers through server troubleshooting, environmental issue resolutions, and dev tools setups like Git repositories.
  • Engage with EDM Teams to ensure adherence to DevOps protocols and CI/CD processes among team members.
  • Drive system performance improvements through automation, script integration, and proactive problem-management strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to meet unique operational challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience with AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Proficiency in Docker, AWS Cloud Formation, Databricks, AWS EMR, and RDS database management.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Terraform, and programming in Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Robust analytical skills and a keen interest in technology automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
