Position Summary

Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and manage large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows to support business applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs.
  • Writing ETL processes, designing database systems, and developing tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
  • Collaborating with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
  • Utilizing knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and query optimization to build efficient data pipelines.
  • Leveraging programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines.
  • Building data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers.
  • Ensuring data integration from various sources while maintaining data quality and accessibility standards.
  • Analyzing current IT environments to identify and assess critical capabilities, recommending optimal solutions.
  • Experimenting with and advising on new tools and technologies to meet model and use case requirements.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Two (2) years in the job offered or a related occupation. Must include experience in:

  • Agile methodologies or SAFe Software
  • Spring Boot Microservices
  • Web Service APIs
  • Object-oriented JavaScript
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Software development for enterprise or web applications
  • Writing clean, high quality, high performing, scalable code
  • Test quality assurance and troubleshooting

Compensation

Pay Range: $115,000/year - $230,000/year

This salary range represents the base rate or annual full-time salary for all positions within this job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
