Your Role

As an Individual Contributor on the Analytics and Data Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the Platform’s Architectural Design
• Development and Testing of Integration, Modelling, Data Persistence, and Querying Tools
• Data Pipeline Implementation, Maintenance, and Testing
• Managing Metadata Processes and Tools
• Monitoring Overall Performance and Stability of Pipelines
• Implementing Data Curation, Metadata Management, and Data Quality Tooling
• Engaging with Business and Technology Partners to Ensure Platform Meets Firm’s Needs

Preferred Technical Experience/Skills

• 10+ years in Python/Java Development
• Strong Understanding of AWS Ecosystems (e.g., Lambdas, Step Functions, ECS Services)
• Experience with Data Stack Technologies like Apache Iceberg & Spark
• Exposure to Workflow Orchestration Tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, DBT)
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Services (e.g., Glue, Lake Formation, EMR, EventBridge, Athena)
• Experience with Metadata Management Tools (e.g., Amundsen, Atlas, DataHub, OpenDataDiscovery, Marquez)
• Familiarity with RDBMS like PostgreSQL is a Plus
• Background in Building Modern Enterprise-Wide Data and Analytics Systems in Financial Services

Leadership Skills

• Proven Experience in Leading Small to Mid-Size Engineering Teams
• Mentorship and Growth of Team Members
• Handling Short and Long Term Product/Requirement Roadmaps
• Experience with Agile Scrum Model is a Plus

T. Rowe Price Technology operates a Hybrid Working Model, with at least two days a week in the London office.
