Job Description: Lead Data Engineer GCP (H/F)

We are hiring a Lead Data Engineer GCP for our locations in Paris or Rouen. Join our innovative technical environment and contribute to the SQLI data team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the implementation of best development practices.
• Coaching data teams and training newcomers.
• Participating in pre-sales based on your technical expertise.
• Analyzing and understanding business needs.
• Defining and designing architecture.
• Creating presentations, demos, POCs, or pilots to highlight technological recommendations.
• Developing data ingestion jobs and automating data lake and data warehouse feeding flows.
• Conducting load tests, unit tests, etc.
• Ensuring the maintainability of the Big Data/BI solution: optimizing and improving performance.

Qualifications:

You are:

• A graduate engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience, including 4 years on Google Cloud Platform projects (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.).
• Always eager for technological innovations and enjoy exchanging ideas (events, conferences, meetups, etc.).
• Proactive with a strong sense of initiative, encouraging you to excel and share your ideas.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in a programming language (Python, Java, R, Spark, Scala).
• Mastery of SQL.
• Experience with at least one ETL/ELT tool (Synapse Analytics, Data Flow, Talend, DBT).
• Good knowledge of CI/CD tools and/or version control frameworks (Gitlab).
• Bonus skills: Experience with Power BI, TIBCO EBX, or BO DS; Container and Kubernetes management (GKE). GCP Professional certification is a plus.
