Job Responsibilities:

The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and constructing robust data processing pipelines within the Databricks/Azure ecosystems.
  • Developing ETL processes and integrating substantial data architectures to support business requirements.
  • Working with large datasets and collaborating with Data Scientists to implement machine learning algorithms.
  • Creating and maintaining data governance policies and ensuring high standards of data quality and security.
  • Enhancing system performance, scalability, and availability in the Azure environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Database Administrator, or Software Developer.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Extensive experience with Azure, data governance policies, and working in a federal government contracting environment.
  • Residency in the United States and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with additional query languages like XPath, SPARQL, and others.
  • Experience with Python, Airflow, and advanced data analytics or machine learning techniques.

Additional Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of $105,353 to $179,101 depending on qualifications and experience. This remote position is based out of our Virginia office (VA99).
