Position Summary:
Samsung Ads, a leading innovator in advertising technology, is looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to elevate our platform’s performance advertising capabilities. This pivotal role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance attribution models and enhance the measurement of marketing campaign effectiveness.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Lead Data Engineer at Samsung Ads, you will:
- Develop and implement sophisticated attribution models to analyze the influence of various marketing channels on user conversion.
- Work collaboratively with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to refine and enhance attribution methodologies.
- Design and maintain scalable and optimized data pipelines for efficient data collection, processing, and storage.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions through close collaboration with stakeholders.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to validate and refine attribution models.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in attribution modeling and advertising technology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience (with a Bachelor's) or 6 years (with a Master's) or a PhD with 3 years in attribution modeling within the ad tech industry.
- Strong technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Flink, Apache Ignite, and other stream data processing frameworks.
- Proficiency in big data technologies and databases including Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and MapReduce.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and tools relevant to attribution modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning techniques in attribution modeling.
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
- Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and related technologies.
Compensation and Location:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a hybrid position, blending remote work with office collaboration as needed.
