Job Description
The GenAI & LLM Lead serves as an expert in the Locus AI & Data Sciences team, dedicated to identifying customer application scenarios, organizing the creation of the related data pipelines, and assembling the team and resources necessary to deploy APIs and SDKs for training, refining, and accessing AI models on a large scale. This position is aimed at building systems that enable our users and their autonomous mobile robot (AMR) fleets to employ Large-Language Models (LLMs) and Foundation Models (FMs) to improve AMR and intralogistics operations. The role involves tight collaboration and utilisation of various other AI disciplines including Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the creation and launch of LLM and GenAI enabled applications that augment the operational optimization of Locus Robotics offerings and customers' AMR fleets.
- Cooperate in the design and execution of automated ML, RL, and GenAI/LLM/NLP pipelines for data preprocessing, query understanding and fleet optimization, facilitating swift experimentation and adaptation.
- Work alongside product managers and cross-functional teams to advance GenAI/LLM initiatives that enable innovative business strategies and product roadmaps.
- Contribute to the wider AI and Data Sciences endeavors within the company, participating in RL, Deep Learning and other AI projects that further solidify Locus Robotics' standing as the leading company in the AMR industry.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in computer science with a concentration in AI, complemented by a record of research papers and/or supervised projects in various AI & computer science domains, Statistics, Data Science, or similar technical disciplines.
- At least 2 years' experience leading research and/or innovative industry programs in AI and Data Science.
- In-depth knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, RL, GenAI, and LLM algorithms and models.
- Proficient in two or more areas related to Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval/Understanding, Machine Perception, Conversational AI, Reinforcement Learning, Knowledge Graphs, and Experimental Design.
- Excellent programming skills in Python. Additional skills in C/C++ and R are beneficial.
- Experience in deploying AI and Data Science solutions (Machine/Deep Learning and/or GenAI/LLM models) in production level compute environments.
